down in the dumps

Sorry i havent been here for a little while, to be honest i havent really been feeling myself this last week or so, abit down. Not sure why, whether its because hubby is having a bad time mentally at the moment or whether its because theres been abit of sickness in the house. Little Bear was ill at the beginning of last week my middle one has been ill this last couple of nights not nice im telling you, and me well i just dont feel myself, bloated and tired oh and a wee bit irritable so not like me at all...i just want to start feeling normal again what ever normal is.
Went to physio with hubby and they seem really pleased with his progress, great but i felt a little let down because it seems like it could be a long while before he gets off  1 crutch let alone both crutches, its been so soo long now not counting am i when i say its been 1year and nearly 2months. I know at some point hopefully things will be like what it was before his accident but please hurry up.
Im sorry i havent anything really else to say, how boring am i. I just cant seem to work properly at the moment, so as they say on top gear if you watch it, now on that bombshell its time to go.
So until next time bye....from the Bear household x

  1. You could never be boring. And don't worry about writing down how you are feeling. Life just sometimes is utter crap and it's better to say that aloud (or written) than to bottle it all up. For what it's worth, you have a massive amount of stuff to contend with and if it didn't get you down sometimes you absolutely wouldn't be human. Hope that helps! Love and cyber hugs. Jen x

  2. Go easy on yourself petal. We all have crappy phases and how you're feeling is perfectly natural.

Things WILL get better, I promise.

  4. It sounds understandable that you would feel a little down- don't underestimate how much you are coping with. I hope the children are all better now. Try to go easy on yourself and treat yourself to a little something to nurture yourself, whether it is a soak in the bath, a chat with a friend, anything to build up your reserves x

  5. Sorry to hear that you're not feeling 100 percent but with what your and your family have been and are still going through there are bound to be some really tough times, it's hard to been upbeat when all you want to do is crawl under the duvet and hide, but you're a strong women and and you and your family will get through this rough patch, so just make sure that you take care of yourself and like dotty says, make a little time for yourself. Take care xx

  6. Im so sorry to read your having a bad time at present. I can't believe its been over a year since the accident i remember you blogging about it when it happened. No wonder you feel down and hubby to. It affects every aspect of your lives and its not easy. This time of year doesn't help either its cold, damp and grey with dark nights, so its hard to do things anyway. Get into Spring and the better weather and hopefully life will become a bit brighter for you all. Be gentle on yourself and take it easy. hugs, dee xx

  7. :-( Oh Helen, no wonder you feel down, I should think it is all catching up with you now as it has been a long time since Andrew broke his leg. Make sure you come on Friday and I will bake some cakes to cheer you up. If you want to pop round before then with craft books to cheer yourself (and make me smile) you know you are welcome xxx

  8. Thanks for your lovely comment re the little birds over that the linen cat, really sorry to read what a crappy time you are having. I had my (depressed) husband at home with his broken collar, ribs and lots of family illness and it was only for a month or so and it really got to me so I'm not surprised you feel as you do after such a long time. It's hard work looking after a family, especially if your partner also needs support, you end up with no time for yourself. I hope as the weather brightens and the days get longer and (fingers crossed for you) there is no illness for a while amongst the kids that things improve. Bethx

    1. Hi Beth, thanks for your comment, yes i must say im looking forward to the more warmer spring days then at least hubby can get outside abit more, this miserable weather doesnt really help those with depression. As for the kids they all seem to be taking it turns in throwing up, funny how they only seem to do this on a night time just as i go to bed! x
